From 8th to 12th August 2011,
JUMIGG participants from Romania attended National volunteers camp
organized by "Nicolae Bolcas" Pedagogical Highschool from Beius at Stana
de Vale, Bihor County.
In the frame of JUMIGG program, about 30
young people participated to a workshop on violence prevention. We
approached with them six types of violence as follows: street violence,
family violence, violence in schools, violence against children, racial
violence and internet violence by using teasing short videos on this
topics.
Afterwards, in groups, they approached by themselves each type
of violence, they discussed it, they agreed to 3 main recommendations
and afterwards they presented their conclusion in a creative way for
other groups.
We had also a workshop with the teachers present in this camp on the topic of "Project management" in order to provide them with tools for further initiatives in the field of violence prevention.
You can find out further details in our website (in Romanian language only).
